I had arranged my daughter’s 2nd birthday in the playroom upstairs last Sunday. Eleanor had been accommodating & communicated well with me leading up to the day. She had provided some cutlery, plates, etc for the party and had allowed for me decorate the room myself to make it special for my daughter. The room is perfect for a small private party for only a handful of children. Everyone had a lovely time and the coffees Eleanor had provided for the adults were great. My little one had definitely enjoyed herself. Thank you Eleanor

I couldn’t recommend this establishment enough. Me, my little one and my mum come here as little as once a week for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. We mostly go upstairs where they have a play area for children. Meaning adults can enjoy a drink and food in peace while the children are happily entertained, with the array of toy’s and books available to choose from. They also have an area to park up pushchairs and trikes. There isn’t another cafe like this in the area, which makes it more appealing for those with children. For those without children, there’s space downstairs if your wanting a quiet space to enjoy a drink. They also provide a small but good selection of food choices. Such as sandwiches, build your own salads, cake and tea cakes. As well as, snacks for young ones. Including children’s drinks too. I can highly recommend a breakfast sausage or bacon sandwich. Good quality, for a good price and well presented. Every time we come here, we are always greeted with a warm welcome. Where we’re provided service with a smile.

Lovely, friendly, welcoming staff. Reasonably priced menu offering toasties, paninis, breakfast, salad bowls, jacket potatoes. I had a build your own salad bowl for £5. I also had a delicious green smoothie, a good pot of lemon and ginger tea and a huge haunch of Victoria sandwich cake. All very good. Would definitely revisit when in area.

Very friendly cafe, slightly hidden away from the main Market Square. So glad we found it - fantastic 'choose your own' salad, and lots of other good-looking options. Staff really happy to help

I recently visited with a group of disabled people on holiday in Yorkshire. Eleanor went out of way to serve up a lovely meal & accommodate all of our needs, given we went to James Herriot house first & came back with meals ready for our hungry group. A lovely set up accessible for our clients & many little people too. Thank you, Joyce

We went here spontaneously & I’m so glad we did! The service was brilliant, the food was delicious & the prices were very reasonable the decor was very fresh and tasteful too. They also have a play room upstairs for little ones, which is great for mums who want a catch up. I’d definitely recommend this lovely hidden gem of a cafe

I walked past here a hundred times (I live very close by) and finally went in (for 2nd coffee of the day). It was busy but we (the dog and me) got a table. Without my glasses it was easy for me to miss the "order at the counter" instruction on the menu!!!! Got there in the end.... Haven't tried food (yet) so haven't marked it here. Might update next week! Made a second visit the next day when the place was empty. Very different atmosphere but the cappuccino was really good! Easier to tell this time as it was my first! I will be going back - possibly the best cappuccino in Thirsk (since the demise of French Press!)
